A Mediterranean Escape: a Superyacht Charter on the French Riviera

Day 1 | Monaco 

Monaco is without doubt one of the French Riviera’s most renowned destinations and one of the most glamorous in the world. The summer season sets off with the Formula 1 Grand Prix at the end of May where the country’s pristine streets are transformed in to a racing circuit, and the world’s sporting elite, celebrities & car enthusiasts enjoy 5 days of non-stop racing and partying from aboard their yachts and hotel balconies. This tiny Principality is home to all the designer brands at the new One Monte Carlo quarter, set right alongside the world famous Casino de Monte Carlo and Hotel de Paris. Here you will also find a handful of Michelin Star restaurants, luxury hotels, casinos and sumptuous spas to enjoy a truly luxurious stop at the crown of the Riviera.

Sightseeing

Explore Monaco’s iconic sites such as the Prince’s Palace or Oceanographic Museum. For families, the Zoological Gardens are a great option.

Day 2 | Monaco to Nice

The eclectic city of Nice is known the world over for its amazing local food, such as socca, pissaladière, farcis nicois and pan bagnats to name a few, its wonderful Old Town, known as Vieux Nice, with its maze of narrow alleys which are filled with delightful shops selling local treats, its Belle Epoque architecture and its museums. The Baie des Anges, is famous for the magnificent 7km Promenade des Anglais, its pebble lined beach and azur waters surrounded by the backdrop of the Alps. For amazing 360 degree views, take a walk up to la Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill) which overlooks the bay. Filled with plenty of interesting sights to visit, one could easily spend a week here trying to see them all! From the Roman amphitheatre & ruins in Cimiez to the beautiful Notre Dame de Nice cathedral, the Russian Orthodox Cathedral and last but not least, the wonderful art galleries, including the Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art, the Henri Matisse Museum and the Marc Chagall museum, Nice is not to be missed.

Day 3 | Nice to Juan les Pins (Golf Juan)

The French Riviera is full of finery and the gorgeous Golfe Juan captures France in all her glory. Golfe Juan was the first spot where Napoleon began his march to Paris back in 1815. Sitting between the buzz of glitzy Cannes and the charm of Juan Les Pins, this natural harbour has grown from a historic fishing port to a suave seaside retreat. For charter guests who want to soak up pretty Provence, you can wander the Old Port, ducking into jazz cafes and dining on local flavours. The pace of life in Golfe Juan is gentle, offering you the chance to pick up homemade ceramics and handmade chocolates, kick back on the beach or wander in the fragrant shade of Mediterranean forests, and get your cultural fill in the Picasso Museum housed inside an impressive 16th-century castle.

Day 4 | Juan les Pins to Illes de Lerins (Lerins Islands)

Lying off the coast of Cannes is the small archipelego of the Lérins Islands, made up of the two larger islands of Ile Sainte-Marguerite and the Ile Saint-Honorat, and the two smaller, uninhabited islands of Ilot Saint-Ferreol and Ilot de la Tradelière. These unspoiled islands provide a wonderful escape from summer crowds on the Côte d’Azur coastline. Ile Sainte-Marguerite is famous for its Fort where the cell of the “Man with the Iron Mask” can be visited, along with numerous other archeaological treasures. Ile Saint-Honorat is inhabited by Cistercian monks who have inhabited the island since around AD 410.

Visit Île Sainte-Marguerite and the historic Fort-Royal, or explore Île Saint-Honorat and it is ancient monastery. Perfect for quiet walks and nature. There are easy nature trails and plenty of room for kids to run around.

Day 5 | Illes de Lerins to Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez is a small village with a big reputation. Made famous by Brigitte Bardot in the 1950’s, this sleepy little town was transformed into a chic, hedonist celebrity spot each summer. It is still as chic as ever, a luxury location with extraordinary villas, boutique hotels, designer shops and luxury yachts lining the quaint old town. Not forgetting its beautiful beaches, such as Pampelonne, where you can experience the best clubs and restaurants all summer long.

Day 6 | Saint Tropez to Park Nationale des Calanques

The Park Nationale des Calanques is a stunning natural reserve along the Mediterranean coast. Known for its dramatic limestone cliffs, deep fjord-like inlets (called “calanques”), and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Visitors can explore a variety of activities, including hiking on rugged trails that offer panoramic views of the sea and coastline. The park also offers opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking in its secluded coves. Rich in biodiversity, the park is home to unique flora and fauna, making it haven for wildlife enthusiasts.

Activities

Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or kayaking in the quiet coves. For the active, hiking trails through the rugged cliffs offer incredible panoramic views. Try the trail to Calanque d’En Vau for a challenge or a shorter walk near Port-Miou.

Day 7 | Park Nationale des Calanques to Porquerolles

The wonderful Iles d’Or, made up of the island of Porquerolles, Levant and Port Cros, lie off the coast of Hyères, and are true gems of the Mediterranean. These protected islands have been given National Park status. These sparsely populated islands are perfect for cycling around, or hiking, or for something a little less strenuous, they are surrounded by sandy beaches and coves with turquoise waters which are ideal for swimming, snorkeling or SCUBA diving.

Children’s Activities

Rent bikes as a family and explore the island’s many scenic trails. Porquerolles is car-free, so biking is both safe and fun for children
The island has gentle walking trails that are perfect for younger children. Exploring the pine forests, olive groves, and vineyards offers a chance to see local wildlife and enjoy the outdoors.
Kids can enjoy snorkeling in the clear waters around the island, discovering marine life in the shallow areas near the beaches. Swimming is also a favourite activity.

Shopping

The small village at the heart of the island has a handful of boutiques offering unique items like handcrafted jewelry, local crafts, and souvenirs. 
Small stores sell Provencal items such as lavender products, soaps, and traditional textiles, allowing you to take a piece of the region’s heritage home with you.

Day 8 | Porquerolles to Monaco
