Admiral
Admiral Yachts, an iconic name in the world of luxury seafaring, has its roots deeply planted in Italian maritime tradition. Originating in the 1950s under the Italian shipyard Cantieri Navali Lavagna, the first Admiral model was a sporty, 18-metre flybridge cruiser built with wood. Over the decades, the brand escalated its offerings, making its foray into aluminum and steel yachts, eventually evolving to construct superyachts measuring up to 75 metres. The brand reached a significant milestone when it became part of The Italian Sea Group in 2011, which also includes the Technomar brand. Situated in Marina di Carrara, Italy, between the Apuan Alps and the sea, the shipyard spans 120,000 square meters and offers state-of-the-art facilities for refit and repair services.
Admiral Yachts is not just about shipbuilding; it’s about crafting a bespoke experience that embodies Italian elegance, efficiency, and expertise. The shipyard offers a multitude of series—C Force, E Motion, Envy, Impero, Maxima, Momentum, and Regale—each a marvel of naval architecture and engineering developed by its in-house design team. The designs are customizable, right from the hull configuration to the material used, be it aluminum or steel. With the involvement of over 25 interior designers, Admiral ensures that every detail, from the waterline up, can be tailored to the owner’s vision. This adherence to customization and quality standards has given the brand an edge, making it a choice destination for discerning Shipowners and Commodores.
Over the years, Admiral Yachts has been responsible for some of the most iconic projects in the yachting world. Notable among them are the 40-metre Cacos V, part of the Admiral Impero series, designed in collaboration with Luca Dina Design, and delivered in 2013. Another jewel in their portfolio is the 47-metre Entourage, an Admiral Maxima series superyacht launched in the summer of 2014. The shipyard outdid itself with the launch of the 75-metre Kenshō in late 2021, setting new standards in exterior design. Kensho was named Motor Yacht of the Year 2023 at the World Superyacht Awards by BOAT International. These projects exemplify Admiral’s commitment to innovation, quality, and luxurious design, making them a global leader in yacht construction. With around a dozen new projects always in the pipeline, Admiral continues to be more than just a shipyard; it is a luxury brand that promises an unparalleled maritime experience, a testament to what ‘Made in Italy’ truly represents.
