Liam Knock
Head of Technical Department
Beginning his career in the Merchant Navy, Liam honed his engineering skills in demanding commercial environments before leaping yachting in 2015. Since then, he has sailed as an engineer on some of the most prestigious vessels in the industry, ranging from 70 to 125 meters, learning the intricacies of building and maintaining these brilliant vessels.
In 2021, Liam shifted his focus to shoreside management, where he has since overseen the technical management of private and charter vessels from 40 to 135 meters. Working with the team onboard and other managers shoreside, he is involved in everything from day-to-day operations and maintenance planning to refit coordination, budget management, vessel audits, and condition surveys. Having been involved in the maritime industry for 14 years, Liam maintains his commercial Chief Engineers Unlimited license, ensuring his skills remain at the forefront of the industry.
Liam has since relocated to the UAE, where he now works from Dubai, the vibrant hub of the region’s maritime industry. In his free time, Liam is taking in everything the UAE has to offer; the deserts, cultural hubs, and numerous beaches! When time allows, he regularly makes the trip back to see friends and family in his original home of Suffolk, UK.
